Jyâna consists of truly understanding Kshetra (the Field of activity that is the body) and Kshetrajna (the Knower of that Field, the Soul). AWAKEN serves to expand the conventional concepts of human potential by informing the individual of the inter- connected systems involved in being human and their paths to mastery. AWAKEN invites each person to step into a conscious engagement in his/her own evolution and thus the evolution of our planet.

HOW DOES YOGA INTEGRATE WITH THE CONCEPT OF ALIIGN?
ALIIGN's mission is to align the mind, body, and spirit as one - in harmony with the Universe. This is the concept of yoga! Yoga is the holistic approach to life by aligning the three aspect of the human being - body, mind and spirit through exercise, breath work and meditation.
When this alignment happens, the human being is in sync with the universe. Microcosm meets Macrocosm. Yoga literally means "Union" - to unify the individual Self with the universal Self.
WHY YOGA?
As our society becomes increasingly technological, our world becomes more intimately connected and influenced by its numerous cultures. The pace of change and the stress on our body’s nervous system is increasing. The science of Yoga allows us to tap into a technology that helps us cope with this escalating change. The inner science of the mind is the tool that will enable us to cope with the pressure of these shifts. It is the mind that interprets our outer and inner worlds and it is the mind that we must train to guide us through the flow of transition.
Yoga is an ancient discipline that explores, develops, and integrates the body, mind, and spirit. It systematically stretches and strengthens muscles throughout the body, increases circulation to internal organs and glands, quiets the nervous system, and improves concentration. This ancient system of self-care brings vitality, health, deep relaxation, and peace of mind. Using movement, sound current, breath and meditation it relaxes and heals mind and body. It is designed for the active person with responsibilities in school, work, family and the world.
ALIIGN: YOGA is dedicated to deliver high spiritual and bodily development and teachings paired in a highly stylized environment. ALIIGN: YOGA will offer various styles of yoga such as Kundalini, Hatha, Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Meditation classes, Tai chi, Beginner’s classes and other forms of body and healing arts.
Deep relaxation is taught in each class after completion of the postures. The intention of the teachers at ALIIGN: YOGA is to assist students in the development of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
ALIIGN: YOGA features well-trained, professional teachers, progressive teaching methods, in a non-competitive and encouraging atmosphere. All teachers will have successfully completed a minimum of 250 class room hours in a yoga teacher training with certification to ensure a high level of yoga practice provided for the student. We seek to create a sanctuary of the body, mind and soul for the individual, so that students will leave ALIIGN: YOGA, whole, centered and refreshed.

BEGINNER'S CLASS
Learn the basics of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation in a more gentle and instructive way. Start off in this class and stay as long as you like or go right on into regular classes.
MEDITATION CLASSES
Learning the Art & Science of Deep Meditation takes time ... time to still the mind, so the deeper voice of the soul can be heard. Various classes in different meditation traditions will be offered to develop the benefits that come through deeper meditation. Join us in the company of like minded souls, and experience the bliss that comes with touching the depths of your own sublime nature.
HATHA YOGA
Hatha yoga, practiced for health and vitality, is a marvelous way of exercising, stretching, and freeing the body to be healthy and vital in body, mind and soul. This yoga is for everyone.
JIVAMUKTI YOGA
Jivamukti Yoga is a vigorously physical and intellectually stimulating practice leading to spiritual awareness. Each class focuses on a theme, supported by Sanskrit chanting, readings, references to scriptural texts, music, spoken word, asana sequencing and yogic breathing practices. Everyone will enjoy these classes.
VINYASA YOGA
Fundamentals of Vinyasa Yoga will prepare students for a vigorous flow style of yoga (Vinyasa) that synchronizes breath with movement. It will offer a balance of strength, flexibility, and endurance to challenge the fitness enthusiast. The course will begin with instruction on the alignment of the poses and move toward linking all the poses together in a continuous flow by the end of the session.

NATHALIE FINO is the Director of ALIIGN: YOGA and a German/Italian native. She was first certified as a Hatha Yoga teacher in India by the Sivananda Organization in 2002. Subsequently, in Germany she continued her studies, incorporating various yoga schools and styles such as Yoga Vidya and Iyengar. Then, in 2005, she found her passion and love for Kundalini Yoga in Los Angeles. Now a certified teacher through IKYTA, she trained at Golden Bridge Yoga. In 2010 she also completed The Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga training with Gurmukh Khalsa and is now a registered Prenatal Yoga teacher.
She is currently also the Director of Programs at Golden Bridge Yoga. She started working there in 2006 as a front counter manager. Soon she became a retail manager, then the Coordinator of Events before she went into her current position. She is also on the teaching staff for the KRI Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 1 Program at Golden Bridge.

Juicing benefits
One benefit of raw juicing is that raw, enzyme-rich, nutrient-rich juices are easily and quickly absorbed and require very little energy for the body to process.
You get more concentrated nutritional content in the form of vitamins, minerals and enzymes from raw juice than from whole fruits and vegetables.
Alkaline pH
While there are some other VERY important factors that determine pH balance in the body, fresh raw juices are alkaline and provide a balance to the tendency of our modern lifestyle (stress, cooked foods, etc.) toward excessive acidity.
Raw juices help to detoxify the body
Antioxidant vitamins, chlorophyll and enzymes as well as the water content of fresh fruit and vegetable juices help to cleanse body tissues of toxins.
Cancer patients following the Gerson protocol drink up to 13 full glasses of fresh, raw carrot-apple-celery juice daily, plus an intensive regimen of pancreatic enzymes and coffee enemas for liver detoxification, along with other natural therapies.
Delicious taste: Raw, fresh juices are most often delicious and vibrant to the palate. Drink immediately after preparation and you can taste the life energy in them!
Does Raw Juicing Have Any Disadvantages?
Raw juicing is beneficial for most of us. Depending if you do better on a high, moderate, or low-carb diet, how much and what kind of juice you make can be modified.
ALIIGN: Raw juices must be consumed immediately for greatest nutritional benefit and best taste: You can't make large quantities to save time, or take raw juice on a day's outing or to work.
High glycemic index: Glycemic Index (speed with which carbohydrates are absorbed) of ALL fruits and vegetables is higher in the juice than the whole food. Even fruits and vegetables such as raw apples and celery, which are low-glycemic when eaten whole, yield juice that is more high-glycemic than the whole food.
A moderate amount (one large glass per day) of fresh raw juice is not a problem for the vast majority of people.
For some, too many raw juices, especially those rich in sugar such as apple, carrot, beet and citrus juices, combined with a high-carbohydrate diet, can aggravate blood sugar imbalances.
There are a wide variety of metabolic types; listen carefully to how your body feels. A balanced diet for YOU will leave you with sustained energy, clear thinking and calm, balanced mood.
A moderate amount of raw juice is an excellent addition to most peoples'diets. One 8 - 12 ounce glass per day of mixed vegetable juices such as celery, beet, parsley and carrot is great for getting some concentrated enzymes and cleansing chlorophyll.
Some people, like cancer patients, have extremely poor digestive and absorptive capacity. Copious amounts of raw juices give them a constant supply of nutrient-rich food that is detoxifying and requires almost no energy to absorb.
Many cancer patients die of nutrient depletion and its complications before they would die from cancer (or side effects of conventional cancer treatment). They tend to have VERY toxic livers.
When cancers are destroyed by either conventional or natural therapies, the toxic material has to be eliminated from the body fast. In addition to raw juices and other therapies, coffee enemas are ESSENTIAL to help cancer patients safely eliminate cancer toxins that could otherwise kill them.
As cancer patients on the Gerson therapy recover, they commonly include more whole foods, proteins and fats, while continuing to consume raw juices. Many of them continue coffee enemas as well because they love how good it makes them feel.

Advantages of ALIIGN: Raw Juicing!
Raw fruit and vegetable juices are rich in magnesium and potassium. Most people get plenty of the other two electrolyte minerals; calcium and salt, and not enough magnesium and potassium.
Why is this important..?
Because calcium and salt support the dominance of the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) part of our autonomic (involuntary) nervous system. Most of us are already too far in that direction!
More magnesium and potassium in our diet supports better functioning of the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) part of our autonomic nervous system.
So raw juicing can contribute toward helping to balance our nervous system!
Raw Juicing in Moderation is Beneficial for Most People
Most of us need a varied diet that includes nutrient and calorically dense foods containing healthy fats and proteins.
Raw juicing provides liquid refreshment rich in enzymes, potassium, vitamins and some minerals.
NOTE: ALWAYS use locally grown and/or organic vegetables and fruits, NEVER conventionally grown - juicing concentrates toxic chemicals used in commercial agricultural operations.
For most people fresh squeezed juice is not necessary for achieving excellent health, but can be a delicious addition to a complete self-care program. We all need sufficient fluids, and low-glycemic mostly vegetable juice combinations are a great way to increase fluid intake.
